Clive Richardson were awarded the contract to carry out various flail work throughout the Belfast City Council geographical area. Tractor mounted flails were used to cut hedges, shrubs and grass banks across greater Belfast. The flails used had a horizontal reach of 6.5m and a range of heads were used to cover tasks from hedge cutting to grass cutting.
Often work was required on or adjacent to public highways and CRL were required to use suitably qualified operatives and put in place suitable plans for working in such areas.
